Every Mother.

A day that's often full of joy,
Mother's getting cards from their girls or boys.
A rose, a card, a bear, messy hands tangled in their hair.
A mother who is always there.
A vision of next mothers day,
Imagining celebrating in every way.
A bump under a hand, looking proud as they stand.
The future as exciting as a dare,
For the mother who is always there.
A home quiet and still,
Wondering when their hearts will fill.
Waiting and wondering for those little feet,
All with the worries grinding their teeth.
Imagining a life with a little one to share,
A mother who is always there.
A teddy bear hugged tight,
Pictures in a memory box in sight.
Tears, and heartache for what could have been,
Waiting for someone to just check in.
Feeling forgotten, remembering that little one often.
Wishing, and hoping someone will care,
A mother who is always there.
Mothers whose baby's are by their sides,
Mothers whose baby's sadly died.
Mothers who celebrate "Mama To Be",
Mothers who are waiting for that line to see.
I have been you. I see you. I care.
You are a mother who is always there.
